Our research focus:
The dynamics of local and regional economic activities in a global production context through the eyes of entrepreneurs, companies and institutions
Our theoretical perspectives:
A relational perspective, because economic actors do not act in isolation. They are embedded in a social context and mutually affect each other.
An evolutionary perspective, because economic actors do not act without a history. Their behaviour and decisions are preconditioned by the past.
An institutional perspective, because both formal and informal institutions, such as organisations and norms, rules and conventions, shape the context in which economic actors are embedded.
A global production context perspective, because the behaviour and decisions of economic actors are increasingly affected by global competition and collaboration, which lead to local-global tensions.
